Raver Girl
MAC Raver Girl MAC Girls Personality Palette ($41.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a new, permanent palette (per MAC’s website) featuring eight eyeshadows and one highlighter. The more shimmery shades have a denser, thicker consistency that’s firmer and tends to apply best with fingertips or dampened brushes (improves adhesion/spread). For me, I like the creamier, more silicone-heavy shimmers but when they get too heavy, they don’t apply as well with brushes and typical techniques and can sometimes look thick or accentuate lid texture. The mattes in the palette are softer and more yielding compared to mattes in their permanent range.
Mirrorball
Mirrorball seemed to have a nearly sheer, lavender base with flecks of silver and iridescent sparkle and micro-glitter. The eyeshadow had a denser, stiffer consistency that felt chunky to the touch. It applied best with fingertips or using an adhesive base, which helped to affix the sparkles to the area and minimize fallout over time. It lasted about six hours decently on bare skin but there was fallout over time.

Happydaze
Happydaze is a medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth and velvety, though there was some powderiness and excess product that kicked up in the pan when used. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The eyeshadow stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours on me before fading a bit.

Fabness
Fabness is a soft taupe with neutral-to-warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good color coverage that adhered well to bare skin and blended out nicely along the edges. The texture was soft, a smidgen powdery in the pan, but did not seem to be prone to fallout nor sheering out on my lid. It lasted well for eight hours on me.

Flashbeams
Flashbeams is a light-medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a metallic finish. The texture was rather dense, almost like a firmer cream, and it was thicker than typical shimmery MAC eyeshadows. It applied best with firm, flat synthetic brushes or fingertips as a result. It had good pigmentation that applied decently but really had to be pressed and pushed onto the skin to even out. This shade wore well for eight hours on me before creasing faintly.

Sly Girl
Sly Girl is a medium-dark purple with subtle, warm undertones and a sparkling, shiny finish. It had good pigmentation but seemed to have more shimmer compared to the last version I tried, so it appeared a bit lighter. The texture was soft, lightly creamy and blendable on my lid. It lasted well for eight hours on me with slight fallout.

Rave-Cave
Rave-Cave is a muted, medium-dark plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich color coverage with a smooth, denser consistency that had moderate slip–it wasn’t thick like some of the other denser shades in the palette. It applied evenly and blended out nicely along the edges. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

120 BPM
120 BPM is a medium-dark fuchsia with subtle, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had excellent pigmentation with a denser, thicker consistency that required a heavier hand and a flat, synthetic brush to pick up and apply product to bare skin. The edges took a bit more effort to diffuse and blend out for me due to the thicker texture. If you typically use fingertips, it would work well with them. The color wore well for eight hours on me before creasing faintly.

Wild Card
Wild Card is a deep, purplish plum with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium, buildable pigmentation (to semi-opaque–worked well as a crease color but wouldn’t be as opaque as needed for a lid color, without a primer). The consistency was soft but more powdery, though it felt thicker and more substantial than MAC’s typical matte eyeshadows (which I find are firmer). It was fairly blendable and only had slight fallout when I worked with it. On me, it lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Glow Stick
Glow Stick is a soft pink with subtle, warm undertones and a cooler, pink sheen. It had semi-sheer coverage that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage. The consistency was firmer in the pan with a thinness that made it a product that did not swatch that well but seemed to apply just fine with fluffier, blush brushes in practice. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
