The result is the 3-piece Sakura Makie Travel Set. The Sakura Makie Travel Set by Beautylish x Chikuhodo features 3 essential brushes for makeup application: the Powder Brush, the Cheek Brush and the Shadow Brush. Each brush is handcrafted from the stunning makie print to the brush head by Japanese artisans.. The production took almost one year to make and once it sells out, it won’t come back.

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula.
