MAC Oh, Yes Baby, Act Natural, Leave Me Breathless Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

Oh, Yes Baby

MAC Oh, Yes Baby Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a soft, rosy peach with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It was a Lustre finish, which signaled that it was designed as a sheerer shade, and it did have sheer to semi-sheer pigmentation. The consistency was thinner, emollient without feeling creamy (almost balm-like but very, very thin), and applied without dragging on my lips. It gave my lips a lighter, more metallic sheen but there was some product that sank into my lip lines. It lasted for two and a half hours and was a bit drying on me.

Formula Overview

$18.50/0.1 oz. - $185.00 Per Ounce

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying. Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying. The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Act Natural

MAC Act Natural Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a light, rosy beige with neutral-to-cool undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly on my lips but separated along and sank into my lip lines. The lipstick had a lightweight, denser feel–a bit thicker but not heavy–that softened against the warmth of my lips so it only dragged a touch. It wore well for four hours and was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Leave Me Breathless

MAC Leave Me Breathless Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a light, peachy beige with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which adhered evenly and applied smoothly without tugging on my lips. The consistency was lightweight, just creamy enough to glide but not feel slippery on, and was comfortable to wear. I was surprised at how it didn’t settle into my lip lines! This shade stayed on well for four hours and was lightly hydrating over time.
