NARS Sexual Content, Mythic Red, Fever Beat Lip Glosses Reviews & Swatches
Sexual Content
NARS Sexual Content Lip Gloss ($26.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a smooth, mostly non-sticky texture that was lightweight and thin, which made it a little harder to spread out evenly during application. It didn’t highlight my lip liens too noticeably but could have gone on more evenly overall. It lasted well for four hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$26.00/0.18 oz. - $144.44 Per Ounce
When NARS launched their reformulation of the Lip Gloss range, the coverage was described as "sheer shine to bold luster," but as of February 2019, the brand simply describes the coverage as "sheer intensity." That's not really accurate, as the range does, actually, range from sheer to more opaque--it greatly depended on the shade. The formula is also supposed to be "smooth" and "nourishing." Some shades applied evenly, while others pulled into lip lines or looked streaky. The consistency was thinner, lightly tacky (with some additional tackiness developing over time), but it was comfortable and lightly hydrating over time. I wish the applicator pulled more product out per application, which would make it a bit easier to spread the product out overall.
There did not seem to be any taste or scent to the formula.

Mythic Red
NARS Mythic Red Lip Gloss ($26.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a medium-dark pink with soft, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly with very minimal product that sat in my deeper lip lines (wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance). The texture was lightweight, thin without being clingy, and comfortable to wear with very slight tackiness. It stayed on well for four hours and was lightly moisturizing.

Fever Beat
NARS Fever Beat Lip Gloss ($26.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had a smooth, lightweight consistency that spread without too much difficulty and felt mostly non-sticky. I find that NARS’ glosses tend to have a thinner texture, and part of that might be due to how little gets picked up on the doe-foot applicator for “one swipe.” This shade had nearly opaque pigmentation that went on evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip lines, though there was a little room for improvement still in overall application. If you’re someone who prefers more pigmented gloss, this might work for you, but the brand touts their glosses as “sheer intensity.” It wore well for four and a half hours on me and was lightly hydrating.
