Benefit Cookie Box o’ Powder Highlighter ($30.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a light, peachy gold with strong, warm yellow-orange undertones and a luminous sheen. It had rich color payoff in a single layer, though a lighter hand could be used to build up coverage more gradually if preferred.

The powder had a smooth, silky feel to it, which made it seem more cream-like, but it was definitely a powdery. I felt like the creaminess enabled it to blend out flawlessly but really meld with my skin. It had a high-shine finish, but it didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture when worn more heavily. This shade stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.
