Best of Giorgio Armani Matte Nature Lip Maestros

For the fall, the Giorgio Armani Matte Nature Collection added 10 shades of to the Lip Maestro range, though one has been sold out so I’ve only been able to review nine of the new shades–but all of those reviews are up for your reading pleasure now, so this is your roundup of those shades ranked from best to “worst.”

I’m a long-time fan of the Lip Maestro formula–honestly, feel it’s a bit underrated, but given the price point of a single shade, I’m also not surprised it isn’t more popular!–because it’s an incredibly velvety, smooth liquid lipstick that goes on beautifully, is flattering on my lips, and has excellent wear (six to eight hours) that is comfortable and hydrating.  I always get excited to see new shades added to a range I enjoy because that’s usually a sign it’s not in discontinuation danger!

MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush Review & Swatches

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula. It felt lightweight and was comfortable to apply and to wear as it felt like a balm-lipstick hybrid. It lasted well for four hours and was hydrating over time.
