Stila Shade Mystere Collection includes eight new liquid eyeshadows and one “face gloss.” While the liquid eyeshadows are billed as having “color-flip pigments” that are “color-changing,” I wasn’t able to detect much shift (some not at all) in person, let alone in photos, though they were all sparkly/glittery. Where this palette shines is in its cohesive, yet versatile, color scheme. The left side of the palette has a pink/purple vibe, while the right side is warmer, earthier with taupe and green brown. The mattes in the palette are some of the brand’s best; they had some of the soft, lightly powdery nature that most expect from the brand’s formula, but I had hardly any fallout from the mattes and found them to be quite pigmented and blendable overall. Pillow Talk Medium Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Medium Matte Revolution Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, dusty coral with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had medium coverage in a single layer that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage with a second layer. It was paired with a smooth, lightly emollient texture that felt more velvety than moist, so it glided on easily but didn’t feel slippery on. There was a smidgen of product that sank into my deeper lip lines but wasn’t noticeable in person (just in the close-up photos). It wore well for four and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time. Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.
