Barneys: Extra 10% Off Sale

Barneys’ continues to undergo a liquidation of inventory, so most products (including beauty) are already 10% off, and now, they’re offering an extra 10% off sale items, which brings the total discount to 19%.  The extra 10% off is live now through the 26th.  The one thing to keep in mind is that all sales are final!

Barneys has a huge assortment of beauty brands, but I’ve pulled out some of the more popular recently-released products along with brands that 19% off feels more compelling as they’re not often on sale (typically 20% being the highest). If you’re a big beauty shopper, occasionally it’s possible to get 25-30% off with gift card promotions at other retailers, but the spend is quite high. MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush Review & Swatches

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. Rose Nu (88) YSL Rose Nu (88) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium pink with warm undertones and a natural sheen. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula. It felt lightweight and was comfortable to apply and to wear as it felt like a balm-lipstick hybrid. It lasted well for four hours and was hydrating over time.
