Dior Pink Vibration (167) High Fidelity Colours & Effects Eyeshadow Palette ($63.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition spring color story featuring yellow, orange, and three takes on purple from lavender to plum. They were all… varying degrees of disappointment, and they were some of the worst eyeshadows I’ve tried in the last few months.
I feel like a lot of issues that I encounter are powderiness, so some fallout or having to build up coverage, but these just looked poor on my skin–dry, dusty–and they were more prone to fading, sheering out, and were frustrating to work with. I tried it over primer, just to see if it proved to be the miracle needed, but I still found it very underwhelming over an eyeshadow primer (I used Smashbox 24HR).
Pink Vibration #1
Pink Vibration #1 is a light-medium orange with a hint of red in its undertone paired with fine, gold micro-shimmer. It had semi-opaque coverage with a drier, dustier texture that was resulted in sheerer coverage and a tendency to look drier applied over bare skin. It wore well for six hours before fading noticeably.

Pink Vibration #2
Pink Vibration #2 is a brighter, lemony yellow with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It seemed more satiny initially, but the drier, more powdery qualify of the texture made it look somewhat chalky, clumpy, and uneven when applied to bare skin. I wish I could tell you it was vastly improved over primer, but it was not–just terrible to mediocre. The coverage was semi-opaque but quickly sheered out to more semi-sheer to medium coverage. It lasted for six and a half hours before fading visibly.

Pink Vibration #3
Pink Vibration #3 is a light lavender with subtle, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. The shimmer was very fine, but the powder seemed drier and dustier, so while it seemed finely-milled and soft to the touch, it looked more frosted applied to bare skin. I felt like it had a tendency to emphasize my skin texture. It had nearly opaque coverage that too quickly sheered out to more medium to semi-opaque coverage. It wore decently for six hours before fading noticeably.

Pink Vibration #4
Pink Vibration #4 is a brighter, orchid purple with warm, pink undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color payoff in a single layer, which I was quite surprised to see given the performance of the rest of the palette, but it still had a considerably drier, more powdery texture. It did not blend out as evenly as I anticipated, and I had issues with the product clinging more heavily (and darkening) to certain areas but refusing to diffuse from there. The color stayed on well for seven hours before fading a bit.

Pink Vibration #5
Pink Vibration #5 is a muted, medium-dark purple with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had medium coverage that did not build up well, and it had a tendency to apply unevenly and lift up product underneath and around it. This shade was an absolute struggle to use with or without primer; there was no improving it short of applying it with a dampened brush over a tacky, opaque white base (basically the most help any one eyeshadow could ever be given). There were signs of fading after six hours of wear.
