  • Haul/Rediscoveries: Anastasia x Norvina Vol. 3 Mini, Fenty Eyeliners
  • Weekend plans: Take advantage of the excellent weather–this is the time of the year where Arizona really shines!–and go on some extra long walks, probably walk to lunch or dinner at least once, too.
  • How do you relax before bed?: I usually watch Great British Bake Off, which puts me to sleep in the best of ways – it’s not boring, just that it calms me and makes me ready to sleep!

YES, he has a big patch missing from one side! His skin allergies flared up, and then one got infected, so they shaved him down and we applied topical spray… but he ended up having a few more hot spots, so he did a full course of oral antibiotics. He looks like he’s molting, but everything seems resolved 😅

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula. It felt lightweight and was comfortable to apply and to wear as it felt like a balm-lipstick hybrid. It lasted well for four hours and was hydrating over time.
