  • Haul/Rediscoveries: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Intense/Medium lipsticks and blush,
  • Weekend plans: We’re going to drive to a nearby neighborhood and then walk around to get some frontyard inspiration! (We already walked around a lot of our immediate area!)
  • Do you like traveling?: I can’t recall enjoying traveling in a long time, if ever, but definitely not as an adult. I loathe flying, don’t like driving, get seasick on cruise ships, and do not sleep well outside of my own bed (not even a guest bed at my parents’ house). If I could only teleport… then maybe I could enjoy the destination, but the journey to and from has not yet been “worth it.”

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula. It felt lightweight and was comfortable to apply and to wear as it felt like a balm-lipstick hybrid. It lasted well for four hours and was hydrating over time.
