Beautylish Lucky Bags 2020

Beautylish has put up their sign-up page to be first to shop their Lucky Bag 2020 event!  Every year, on December 26th, Beautylish offers mystery bags filled with an assortment of products (from the brands that they sell).  This year, they’ll be offering the following Lucky Bag options:

  • Original Lucky Bag for $75 ($150+ value) + $10 shipping (US) / $15-$20 shipping (int’l)
  • Lucky Bag XL for $150 ($300+ value, US only) + $15 shipping
  • Get One, Give One (buy one Original Lucky Bag at $150, one will be donated, US only)

They offer Fair/Medium and Dark/Deep Lucky Bags in an effort to include products more suitable for lighter/deeper skin tones, and they do not include foundation or concealer in the Lucky Bags.  You can only purchase one Lucky Bag per year.

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. Rose Nu (88) YSL Rose Nu (88) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium pink with warm undertones and a natural sheen. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula. It felt lightweight and was comfortable to apply and to wear as it felt like a balm-lipstick hybrid. It lasted well for four hours and was hydrating over time.
