Pat McGrath Golden Opulence MTHRSHP Palette Launches 1/2 + Swatches

A week or so ago, Selfridges’ posted a product listing for the Decadence Mothership IV Palette, but the photos showed a palette called Golden Opulence. The price was also the MTHRSHP price point. I did purchase one and received the Golden Opulence palette (as shown in the photos), but have been waiting for real (confirmed) information from the brand since it sold out before I even received the palette. This morning, the brand released a teaser where the sequins were removed and displayed the palette name — Sublime Golden Opulence, and they listed “something is coming” on January 2nd, 2020.

I went through and compared the shades against others (in person, but I hope to get dupes and a review up prior to the launch), and they don’t seem to be repeats but some shades are more similar to past shade releases than others. The brand will likely open up an email list to receive early access about the launch, which I believe they’ve done for every launch in the last year (if not longer). If I get a specific time, I will update this post with that time.

MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush Review & Swatches

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula.
