A Flutter
Colour Pop A Flutter 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that features Pressed Powder Shadows (8), Pressed Glitters (2), and Pressed Pigments (2). The latter two formulas are “not intended for use in the immediate eye area.” The palette is a warmer-toned affair with a stronger leaning toward orange, but the shades also were a bit richer and brighter.
Most of the shades have been released before, whether in palettes or as individual pans, so it might overlap if you’re a ColourPop palette connoisseur! Otherwise, the products performed as expected with the eyeshadows and pigments having good pigmentation, blendability, and wear, while the Pressed Glitters had high coverage and good spreadability.
Hungry Ghost
Hungry Ghost is a pale, white gold with slight iridescence and a true glitter finish–a lot of small to mid-size hexagon-shaped glitter particles. It had a translucent base, but there was high “coverage” based on how packed it was with glitter. It had a slightly emollient quality to it, which helped the glitter spread and disperse evenly across an area and helped to minimize fallout/migration. There was light fallout/migration after eight hours of wear.

Transcend is a soft, peachy beige with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium coverage with a moderately powdery texture that was prone to sheering out and dropping some fallout. It lasted well for seven hours before fading noticeably. This shade worked better for diffusing the edges of other shades rather than as a really standalone shade.

Side Tracked is a light-medium brown with warm undertones and flecks of gold micro-sparkle over a matte finish. I didn’t feel like the sparkles translated during application, so it was functionally a matte finish in my experience. The texture was soft, lightly powdery but very blendable and easy to work with. It had opaque pigmentation that wore well for eight hours before I noticed fading.

Fly Away is a medium-dark gold with strong, warm undertones and a bright, metallic sheen. The texture was smooth, almost cream-like, and not too dense nor too firmly pressed into the pan, which made it easy to apply to bare skin. It had rich color coverage that adhered beautifully and stayed on well for eight and a half hours on me.

Grove had a translucent base with finer, copper glitter and larger, iridescent hexagon-shaped glitter throughout. It had nearly opaque coverage in a single layer, despite having the translucent base. The consistency was emollient and wet to the touch, but it spread fairly evenly without fallout. There was light migration/fallout after eight hours of wear. It includes plastic glitter and is not intended for use on the immediate eye area.

Dwindle is a medium, pink-leaning coral with moderate, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The texture felt like the cream-powder formula of Super Shocks, and the way it came away from the edges of the pan reinforced that.
There was a light slip and emollience to the pan when touched, but it quickly turned to a powder-like product when it came into contact with my skin. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that adhered well to bare skin and blended out nicely. It lasted well for nine and a half hours before fading visibly.

OOO is a bright, neon orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The product had opaque color payoff in one layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out with ease. The color seemed to mute just slightly when applied to my skin so a primer might keep it truer to color. The consistency was lightly powdery but didn’t seem prone to fallout. It lasted well for nine hours before fading a bit.

Swallowtail
Swallowtail is a rich, deep berry with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single pass, but it needed to be topped up slightly for full intensity. The texture was soft, dense, and more substantial, but it wasn’t difficult to blend out on my skin. It wore well for nine hours and left a faint stain behind.

Formula Overview

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.
