Pat McGrath Dark Galaxy MTHRSHP Palette ($65.00) is a new, limited edition palette that sold out within a couple of hours. Smoked Amethyst is a repeated shade while the other five are new. Bronze Nebula is likely similar to at least one past shade by the brand, but the name itself is unique, and this was the shade that arrived shattered and was not salvageable (only what was still clinging to the edge of the pan). It was packaged fine, so I don’t know why it broke in transit. Pat McGrath reached out within minutes of this post going live and will replace it — I’ll re-shoot photos when I receive!

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula. It felt lightweight and was comfortable to apply and to wear as it felt like a balm-lipstick hybrid. It lasted well for four hours and was hydrating over time.
