Pat McGrath Galactic Gold Palette Swatches

Pat McGrath Galactic Gold Palette ($65.00) is a new, limited edition eyeshadow palette that includes six shades (three new, three previously released). It launched earlier this month, and someday, perhaps by December 21st, 2020, it will eventually launch at Selfridges.

I ordered this through the Instagram early access, and it went via two-shipping so it came sooner than my order for the set of palettes (which might arrive at the end of this week… if I’m lucky). The brand has stated (more recently) that this palette along with the other MTHRSHP palette are sold out with the only additional stock coming via Selfridges.

Cheer Up MAC Cheer Up Glow Play Blush ($30.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral with subtle, pink-leaning and moderately warm undertones paired with a satin sheen. There was very faint and fine pearl throughout, so it didn’t have a full-on matte finish but did not appear overly shimmery either. The texture was smooth to the touch and malleable where I could push against the surface and get a lasting indent, but it didn’t have the traditional wetness of a true cream blush. It felt more like powder once it came into contact with my skin, and I didn’t have issues with the product lifting up base products when I patted this over my liquid foundation. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a fingertip and more semi-sheer, buildable coverage with a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. The lipstick yielded medium color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and didn’t settle into or emphasize my lip lines, despite being a creamier, more emollient formula.
